In the main hall of Dumfries Museum, the award-winning nature writer Stephen Rutt will deliver a talk about the birds of the River Nith.
Using the museum’s recently refreshed taxidermy displays as a starting point, he will explore what they can tell us about the River Nith and what the river can tell us about the range of birds that make their home in its range of habitats.
In his unique style, combining art and science, his own writing (and featuring excerpts from his current, unpublished project) and his encounters with the Nith’s birds, this talk is for everyone who is fascinated by the river that runs through the heart of Dumfries and curious to find out more about the life it holds.
