Wild Goose Festival
Established in 2020, Wild Goose Festival is an annual programme of inspiring and educational family-friendly activities and events across Dumfries & Galloway. Taking place every Autumn, the festival is inspired by the migratory route of barnacle geese between Svalbard and the Solway estuary, focusing on our regions connection to these fascinating birds and the incredible journey they make to reach us.
Wild Goose Festival’s programme of events aims to engage our communities through creativity, education, and play, building meaningful relationships and encouraging people across generations to reconnect with the environment they live in.
Produced by The Stove Network, the festival unites key partners from across Dumfries & Galloway in an immersive exploration of nature, creativity, and place. forms part of the Scottish International Storytelling Festival 2024 and is supported by TRACS – Traditional Arts and Culture Scotland, Dumfries & Galloway Council, Annandale & Nithsdale Community Benefit Company, administered by Foundation Scotland and Dumfries & Galloway Museums & Heritage Network.
