Wild Goose
Festival
2023

The Wild Goose Festival 2023 program offered an engaging series of inspiring, educational, and family-friendly activities and events across Dumfries & Galloway.

The eleven-day festival ran from October 19th to 29th, seamlessly blending art, culture, and nature through a diverse range of activities, including interactive storytelling, nature walks, conversations, performances, and creative workshops tailored for all ages.

The festival was produced by The Stove Network and formed an integral part of the Scottish International Storytelling Festival 2023. It received generous support from TRACS โ€“ Traditional Arts and Culture Scotland and Dumfries & Galloway Council.

Wild Goose Festival 2023 featured an immersive Wild Goose Festival Hub, hosted at the Loreburne Centre on the High Street of Dumfries. This interactive space offered a unique youth engagement program, supported by the Youth Arts Open Fund, a Creative Scotland fund administered by Youth Link Scotland and generously funded by the Scottish Government.

Wild Goose Festival Hub

The Wild Goose Festival Hub was an interactive space in the centre of Dumfries High street that offered the public an opportunity to learn more about the wild goose festival and take part in fun and creative events, workshops and activities that focused on the three key themes of the festival: nature, creativity and place.

Supported by a multitude of festival parternes, the hub acted as a place to learn all about our feathery friends, the Wild Geese, and find out why they visit us here in Dumfries & Galloway every year.

Supported by Dumfries & Galloway Council, Creative Scotland and YouthLink Scotland.
