Wild Goose Festival
Wild Goose Festival, established in 2020, is an annual festival in Dumfries and Galloway that offers a programme of fun and inspiring educational, family-friendly activities and events across the region.
In 2023, the eleven-day festival ran from 19th – 29th October, weaving art, culture, and nature together through a series of activities including interactive storytelling, nature walks, conversations, performances and creative workshops for all ages.
Wild Goose Festival is produced by The Stove Network, forms part of the Scottish International Storytelling Festival, and is supported by TRACS – Traditional Arts and Culture Scotland and Dumfries & Galloway Council.
As part of the 2023 festival, the immersive Wild Goose Festival Hub was created and hosted in the Loreburne Centre on the High Street of Dumfries. This interactive space offered a special youth engagement programme, supported by the Youth Arts Open Fund, a Creative Scotland fund administered by Youth Link Scotland and funded by the Scottish Government.
