DESCRIPTION:To mark the beginning of this year’s Wild Goose Festival: Journey with the Wild Geese Movement Challenge\, we’re starting with something very simple. \n\n\n\nA wander.  \n\n\n\nWe’d love to invite anyone and everyone to join us for a relaxed wander through town – a chance to stretch your legs\, meet a few new people\, and take a moment out of your day. \n\n\n\nNo pressure.No agenda. \n\n\n\nJust people going for a walk together. \n\n\n\nWe’ll meet at Fountain Square outside The Stove Café\, before heading on an easy route through Dock Park\, down towards the Kirkpatrick Macmillan Bridge\, across to the Suspension Bridge\, and back to Fountain Square. \n\n\n\nYou can join for the whole journey\, or just part of it. Walk\, wheel\, wander – go at your own pace. \n\n\n\nAnd to sweeten the journey\, we’ll have some ice creams waiting.  \n\n\n\nEveryone is welcome – friends\, families\, colleagues\, neighbours\, and anyone who simply fancies getting out for a walk. \n\n\n\nAccessibility Information: \n\n\n\nThe meeting point at Fountain Square outside The Stove Café is on level ground with step-free access.
The full walking route is step-free and suitable for wheelchair users and mobility aids.
Paths through Dock Park are wide\, surfaced park paths.
The route across Kirkpatrick Macmillan Bridge and the Suspension Bridge uses level pedestrian walkways.
There are no steps\, stiles\, or barriers along the planned route.
Participants are welcome to walk\, wheel\, or join for part of the route at their own pace.
The walk is informal and flexible\, so people can turn back or rest whenever they wish.
Accessible toilets are available at The Stove Café before and after the walk.

We suggest a standard contribution of £25\, but you are welcome to choose the amount that feels manageable for you. No proof of income is required. \n\n\n\n\nCommunity Rate – £5 For anyone on a low income\, receiving benefits\, or experiencing financial difficulty.\n\n\n\nReduced Rate – £10 For those with a modest income\, students\, or anyone who needs a little flexibility.\n\n\n\nStandard Rate – £25 Our suggested contribution\, helping us cover the cost of running the workshop.\n\n\n\nSupporter Rate – £35 For those who can contribute a little more and help keep workshops affordable for others.\n\n\n\n\nNo one turned away for lack of funds. DESCRIPTION:Join us for an evening of film and discussion\, in collaboration with access charity\, Euan’s Guide\, that promises to make you question everything you thought travel had to look like and shows you what is possible with a little bit of effort and a drive to make it happen. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout the Film\n\n\n\nIn the Summer of 2025\, two friends decided to commit to the adventure of a lifetime and travel overland from London to Istanbul to avoid flying; a journey of joy\, challenge and spontaneity. A wedding to make\, five weeks to get there (and back!)\, minimal preparation\, many good strangers met and a lot of stories along the way. \n\n\n\nSomething like this would be a journey and a half for any pair of vagabonds\, but throw in to the mix zero bike-packing experience\, a high level spinal chord injury and all the added complications of a broke-neck-body while trying to navigate inaccessible infrastructure across 11 countries\, and you have a recipe for both magic and madness. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nReel to Real Cinema is a monthly film space in the Stove Café\, featuring an eclectic mixture of conversational films – from artist made shorts to feature length documentaries\, locally made to international cinema. DESCRIPTION:As part of this year’s Wild Goose Festival you can join us for three risograph workshops at the Print House exploring storytelling and environmental activism. \n\n\n\nOur environments are full of stories waiting to be heard. By discussing\, imagining\, and making together we can listen to what the living world is asking of us during the current mass extinction. \n\n\n\nTaking our places as stewards and advocates for all the wild things around us we will use the risograph printer to create posters and zines which can share what we learn in the festival hub and beyond. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nEvent Information\n\n\n\nOur workshops are offered on a pay-what-you-can basis. We suggest a standard contribution of £25\, but you are welcome to choose the amount that feels manageable for you. No proof of income is required. \n\n\n\n\nCommunity Rate – £5 For anyone on a low income\, receiving benefits\, or experiencing financial difficulty.\n\n\n\nReduced Rate – £10 For those with a modest income\, students\, or anyone who needs a little flexibility.\n\n\n\nStandard Rate – £25 Our suggested contribution\, helping us cover the cost of running the workshop.\n\n\n\nSupporter Rate – £35 For those who can contribute a little more and help keep workshops affordable for others.\n\n\n\n\nNo one turned away for lack of funds.
