Wings Over Water

October 29, 2022 @ 1:00 pm 3:00 pm

Goose-tastic Dumfries and Galloway is home to over 60,000 migratory geese, many travelling thousands of miles from the Arctic and North Atlantic to overwinter in this beautiful region of Scotland.

Wings over Water is a fun afternoon of creativity and learning about one of the most well-known visitors, the Barnacle Goose. Participants will be set four artistic goals and challenges to choose from.

Art is an important way to engage with wildlife and to communicate some of the experiences and issues the geese face, not least climate change and global warming.

This workshop is suitable for adults and children 7+. No formal drawing experience is required only enthusiasm. Some drawing materials will be supplied but participants are encouraged to bring along their own favourite drawing or painting resources.
